Do you know you spend more muscles frowning than you do smiling?

5 Reasons Why You Should Smile More!

Let me share with you the five reasons why you should smile more. It doesn't matter whether your smile is genuine or not it will have a variety of effects on your mind and body.

  • 1. Relieves the Stress
  • There are times in our life when we stress about something, and I know it is not a good feeling. Stress is not something that we can deny or hide. It infiltrates our entire being, and smiling more can help you recover it. It can help you look fresh, charged, and positive. A smile can help you reduce your stress levels. When you smile more, it regulates your blood pressure which has been affected by increased stress levels. So, love, smile more and reap its benefits.

  • 2. It is Contagious.
  • How many times have you noticed that when you smile, everyone stops and looks at you? While it is a beautiful sentiment, and I appreciate it, it also is a bit true. Smiling doesn't only affect you but the people around you as well. A human brain automatically notices and interprets other people's expressions or even mimics them. So, when someone is looking at your smile, there is a high chance that they will smile unconsciously. And I am not just saying, but it is also scientifically proven. So, your smile is contagious, a healthy one.

  • 3. Boosts your Immune System
  • Smiling not only makes you look attractive but, also helps you build a healthy immune system. Two birds with one stone huh! When you smile more, it improves your immune system because you are more relaxed thanks to the endorphins released by your brain. I hope you all do remember going to a park and watching all the uncles and aunties laughing out loud. Now you know the reason. They all were building their immune system.
So, go out for a brisk walk in the morning and SMILE.

  • 4. It makes you attractive.
  • I think we all feel attracted to people who smile. I believe it is their positive energies that attracts us, like how we try to ignore the person who is frowning or scowling. People, in general, assume that you have a positive vibe when you smile more.
When you smile, it makes you look younger, youthful, and attractive. So, SMILE through your day and be the beautiful badass you are.

  • 5. Increased Positivity and Happiness
  • Okay. A small task for you. SMILE. Think of a few negative thoughts without losing your smile. Hard right?
When you smile, it influences your feelings. You feel positive even if it is forced. When you smile more your brain releases a chemical called dopamine which produces feelings of happiness. So, the next time you are feeling low. SMILE. It will cure it all.
